starring straight ahead, eye’s ten
fold, an unblinking cinema
landscape. Emu
barely concealed, like an exposed mount
of butterfly antennae, immune
to conversation, mute
now the deaf cease. ammo
extinguished wholeheartedly, nice
smiles radiate like sonar, tame
received in kind, a mate
